Paul Vartanian, Business Broker
About Paul
Paul Vartanian approaches brokerage from the perspective of someone who has lived each stage of business ownership himself. He has opened, run, sold and bought companies of his own, and he draws on that practical experience in every engagement, whether he is representing the seller or working with the buyer.
Because he built a business from the ground up, Paul knows how hard it can be for an owner to let go of something that has absorbed so much time and effort. He has also sat on the buying side of the table, which taught him how much depends on matching a company with the right new owner. That background shapes how he works: he is careful and prompt in his communication with each party and aims to resolve every concern quickly.
Paul starts by learning what the people involved hope to achieve. He asks targeted questions to uncover the motivations of sellers and buyers alike, and he helps set expectations that reflect current market conditions. He understands that most owners care deeply about who takes over their company; they want a buyer who will succeed with it, so the work they have invested is not lost.
For Paul, the role comes down to two goals: helping sellers complete the sale of a business they worked hard to build, and helping buyers, some of them acquiring a company for the first time, find the right one.
In his free time, Paul likes to exercise at the gym he favors, ride mountain bikes, travel and read.
